The combination of high ambient temperatures and scorching track temperatures is pushing teams and drivers to the limit in today’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Record-breaking lap times occurred early, with the GTD class showing their strength. DXDT’s Sahil Yoluc took the green flag from 15th position and quickly moved to the top ten where he ran steadily throughout his triple stint. Taking over driving duties in the heat of the afternoon, Alex Udell put in a solid performance, racing inside the top three, no small feat at Sebring under brutal track conditions. At the time of writing this update, Irishman Charlie Eastwood is about to complete his first stint. He’s shown pace and consistency, recovering from a drive-through penalty to race back to second position, he will turn the cockpit back over to Alec Udell and then jump back in to finish this evening. The DXDT #36 SuCo/Mobil 1 Corvette Z06 GT3.R has completed 675 miles, with just over five hours remaining.

Salih Yoluc: “It was a nicer un, eventful for sure. I moved up and down the order all of the time, so it was a bit like a roller coaster. I was generally happy with my run, except for the last stint I had to conserve energy massively, but I am happy I made my drive time. The team deserves a good result and hopefully we can stay up front. ”
