Making their IMSA debut in 2025, DXDT Racing faced the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championships most grueling opening challenges—the legendary Rolex 24 at Daytona followed by the punishing 12 Hours of Sebring. A daunting test for newcomers, DXDT quickly proved they belonged. In just their second IMSA event, the #36 SuCo/Mobil 1 Corvette Z06 GT3.R battled through brutal conditions, running inside the top ten for much of the race, and looked set for a top-four finish, and possibly a podium before the their luck turned. Endurance drivers Alec Udell, Charlie Eastwood and Salih Yoluc were forced to settle with and eighth place finish in their second endurance effort. “Unfortunately, with just three minutes left, while gunning for a podium finish, we suffered a sheared bolt that took us out of contention for the podium,” commented DXDT Racing’s General Manager, Erin Gahagan. She continued, “It was a great effort from the whole team, with flawless pit stops from the crew.”
The DXDT IMSA team remains in Sebring to complete a two-day test on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The anticipated test will give DXDT newcomer, Robert Wickens the chance to drive the #36 SuCo/Mobil 1 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, equipped with Bosch’s state-of-the-art hand controlled braking system for the first time, as the teams prepares for his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series debut at the Grand Prix of Long Beach, round three on the 2025 IMSA calendar.

Alec Udell: “I think we had a great car the whole race. I am gutted for the team to have an unfortunate mechanical issue so close to a podium finish. The last stints were enjoyable, I was able to get into a good rhythm, and able to keep pushing forward. I am proud of the whole team and know we have and know that a great result is coming.”
Charlie Eastwood: “The team deserved much more than p.8. We had a great race, in the hunt for a podium in the final stint when unfortunately, a bolt sheared with three minutes to go to put us out of contention for a podium. We have to take the positives on the steps made from Daytona and hope for a good result at Watkins Glen.”
Salih Yoluc: “The team made a great improvement to the car after Daytona and the tests. It’s a shame how Sebring ended, as we had a very strong race. Everyone involved deserved a great result, hopefully we will have three of them in the next three races! Watkins Glen cannot come soon enough!”
